Meet the Team at Kaufman Sales – Professional Food Service Manufacturers’ Sales Representatives

Our professional Sales team is very knowledgeable in all aspects of food service and the janitorial/industrial side of disposable products. The Kaufman Sales Company is known for excellent customer care and service of the highest degree and has a mission to continue the great relationships with customers and principals for years to come.

Sales Team

Dan Butts, President

Dan has 32 years of foodservice industry experience. His career started with Sweetheart Cup Co, Nyman Cup, and 27 years with Kaufman Sales. Dan has been married for 26 years and has two daughters. He attended the University of Mass in Amherst.

Joe Bifulco, Director of Sales

Joe started in the industry at the distribution level and worked for 5 years selling food service products for Sofco Inc. He attended the University of New York at Buffalo. Joe joined Kaufman Sales in 1997 and covers the western half of New York State. He resides in Buffalo New York with his wife and three daughters.

Kate Regan, Account Executive/packaging consultant

Kate has been in the foodservice industry for 14 years, first as a distributor rep for 10 years–6 years for Perkins and 4 years for Gordon Foodservice, then 3 years as a food broker for Waypoint and most recently as a non food broker for Kaufman Sales covering Boston and South. She resides in Marshfield MA and is married with one son.

Kimberly Duszak, Account Executive/packaging consultant

Kimberly started in the industry at the distribution level working for Paper Unlimited for several years before being acquired by Perkins/Gordon Food service where she worked for 15 years selling food & packaging throughout New England.
Kimberly joined Kaufman Sales in 2018 and covers the central & eastern portion of Massachusetts as well as parts of New Hampshire and RI. She resides in Holden and enjoys spending time with her family, especially her 4 grandchildren.

Tim Collins, Vice President

Tim has been in the Paper Industry for 35 years. His background includes working at Genpak for 10 years, Mark Muench for 2 years, and Kaufman

Lea Zafirson-Thyng, Account Executive/packaging consultant

Lea has been in the foodservice industry for over 29 years. Her career started at Atlantis restaurant equipment, Perkins paper, & Gordon foods before coming to Kaufman sales in 2017. Lea attended university of southern Maine. She resides in Saco Maine with her family.

Brad Troxell, Account Executive/packaging consultant

Brad has been in the foodservice industry for close to 40 years, 20 in operations and 20 in sales. He attended Furman University in Greenville, SC. Brad joined Kaufman Sales in November of 2018 and covers Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. He lives in Suffield CT and has a daughter and son living in New Haven and Boston.

Deborah Oterelo, Sales Admin Assistant

Employed by Arthur J. Kaufman In February 1990, Deb worked in an affiliated company then transferred to Kaufman Sales. During her tenure she has performed customer service, supervisory duties and for the last few years Deb has been a Sales Administrative Assistant. She works with the sales reps, mills and distributor partners and she assists in special projects.

Customer Solutions

Lisa Scolaro, Customer Solutions Lead

Lisa joined Arthur J. Kaufman Sales Co in 1993 as an administrative assistant as well as sales support. In January of 1996, Lisa joined the Customer Service team, handling the Upstate NY territory. She now leads our exceptional Customer Solutions Team and handles the RI, MA, VT & ME territory.

Evelyn Troia, Bid Coordinator

Evelyn has been with Kaufman Sales for 3 years.
She brought 23 years of experience with bids and accounting from a previous position with a pedagogical supply company.
Evelyn lives in Seekonk, Massachusetts with her husband of 39 years and their two Boxers.
She enjoys spending time with her two adult children and grandchildren.

Mary DeMello, Customer Solutions

Mary joined Kaufman Sales in 2014 as part of the Customer Solutions team and handles NY, CT, & Western MA.  She has worked in the food service industry for 34 years. Prior to joining Kaufman Sales Mary worked at Perkins Paper for 17 years as a disposables & food buyer for 7 years and customer service rep for 10 years.  She also worked at Paramount Restaurant Supply.

Special Projects

Alyson Boss, Marketing

Alyson joined Kaufman Sales in 2015 with a role in Marketing and Customer Solutions. She supports various sales, marketing, website, and graphic design needs in addition to providing support to the Sales and Customer Solutions teams. Alyson has a Bachelor of Arts from Denison University and a degree in Education. She has a background in online marketing and creative content.
